On the surface Streator is just a small quiet town surround by cornfields, but just beneath the thin veneer of rural living lies something seriously strange. Home to 12,500 people, aliens, creatures and spirits, Streator is not only a mysterious town, but an apex of paranormal activity.
Streator Mysteries Mission
Streator Mysteries was founded in 2017 by a lone detective with nothing more than a flashlight and burning desire to uncover the secrets of the universe. Turns out, the universe is a pretty big place, so we decided to start with Streator. What started as a simple investigation spiraled into a tangled web of mystery and intrigue. It seems there is more to this town than meets the eye.

What are your goals?
Our goals are simple: To shine a light into the shadows of inconvenient truth. Where there is a question that seeks an answer, a citizen who ponders a query, or a lost soul filled with a sense of wonder, we will be there!
How do you feel about Streator?
Streator may be weird, but it’s not Butts County, Georiga weird. Streator is home to many wonderful inquisitive people, and we are glad to be able to share their quests in the pursuit of happiness, as well as call Streator our home. Keep Streator weird!
What are your political views? What do you think about “Insert Thing Here”
When it comes to “Earth politics” we have no interest, that’s what C-Span is for. Once you gain a broader view of the universe, you will learn how boring earth’s debates are. Once you watch a debate with Zaltarians, you just can’t go back to old people in suits yelling about budgets or something.
Who are you?
We are the person in the trench coat smoking a cigarette under a foggy street lamp. We are the person in the hat, reading a newspaper in the city park. We are everywhere, but we are nowhere. We are amateur investigators tirelessly shuffling files in a basement somewhere in Streator. We are Streator Mysteries.
What are your plans for the future?
Will the day ever come that we solve every mystery Streator has to offer? Will we broaden our horizons to “La Salle County Mysteries”? And to that I say: “pssssht, nah.” Let’s be honest, the world is ending soon, what future do any of us really have? At least not under the rule of earthlings.
